Our Christmas tree officially went up over the weekend and some killer Black Friday sales helped me finish off most of my holiday shopping list.  Now I can spend December enjoying the holiday season, listening to Christmas music, watching holiday movies, and making homemade gifts for my family. Each year for Christmas, I bake batches upon batches of homemade cookies to give out.  After all, who doesn’t love the gift of free food?

I decided to take it easy with my baking list this Christmas.  Honestly, I don’t even really feel like baking at all this year. Of course, I say that every year and end up baking more cookies than I know what to do with. This year, I decided to include a no mess, no bake treat that kids and adults will love (and love to create together)! Also, I really wanted an excuse to go out and buy a set of edible markers.  I’m taking the meaning of adult coloring to whole ‘nother level with this project!

This time of year, I’m all about warm drinks like hot cocoa.  And what goes better with hot cocoa than a big dollop of whipped cream and marshmallows?  These snowmen marshmallow pops are an easy and adorable, homemade gift for cocoa and marshmallow lovers alike.  Just grab some paper straws, some large marshmallows, a set of food writers, and you’re all set to make this sweet Christmas treat!

I gave a few of these marshmallow snowmen pops to my in-laws on Thanksgiving along with a couple chocolate bars.  They were a total hit!  I can’t wait to include these with my baked goods on Christmas.
