DIY Ornament Swap Reveal

December 16, 2013

I love a good blog swap!  I recently participated in a DIY ornament swap organized by Tawny of Tawny’s Tid Bits.  I had the pleasure of having her as my swap partner.  I had a nice time getting to know Tawny as well as creating her ornament.  She told me she had a hard time finding “Y” decor for her home.  I’ve become more comfortable with wire crafting so I made her a “Y” out of silver wire with beaded detail.  It’s simple yet I really like the way it turned out.  I hope she does, too!

On a Saturday afternoon, I heard a package being left on my doorstep.  I opened the door to find a Christmas box sitting outside.  I was so excited to see what was inside this little box adorned with festive snowmen.  I took it inside and carefully opened it to find a pretty, traditional Christmas colored ornament shining up at me.

Tawny created my ornament with red and green overlapping sequins secured with pins.  The sequins sparkle beneath the Christmas tree lights.  I love it!  It will be treasured for many years to come.  Thank you again, Tawny!
