Hunter’s Howl-oween Treats from BarkBox

I received product from BarkBox in exchange for a series of reviews. No other compensation was received, although this post does contain affiliate links.

I’m so sad that this is last month of Hunter’s BarkBox subscription!  I think I’ve looked forward to getting these boxes as much as Hunter has!  This box, of course, was Halloween themed so I couldn’t wait to see what fun goodies awaited Hunter inside!

I was super excited when we pulled out the Peek-A-Boo-Hoo witch hat and owl toy.  Does it remind you of anything, Harry Potter fans?  Someone wasn’t too excited to try on the crinkly hat (“Are you serious, Mom?”), but he loves his new, squeaky owl friend and the crinkle sound of the hat!

The box also came with some great new treats for Hunter.  He got a new pig ear, some Bocce’s Bakery Chicken Treats, and Etta Says PB Go Treats, which he absolutely loves!  He really loves pig ears, too, but during his last vet visit, the vet told us we should wait until he’s at least five months old to give him any rawhide treats because of his puppy teeth.  He’s only got a couple months left.  Since the pig ear is wrapped, that might end up in his Christmas stocking!

The chicken bakery treats are made with oat flour instead of wheat.  Since Hunter’s been put on a grain-free diet because of sensitive skin issues (Cairn Terriers are prone to skin allergies), he can have those.  And he loves anything with chicken in it!  They’re a little too big to give him whole, but the perfect size when broken in half.

I can’t seem to find the PB Go Treats sold individually on BarkShop yet, but once I do I’ll definitely be buying another container or two!  I’ve actually been alternating between Hunter’s current training treats and those. They come in a great portable, pop-top container for when we take him on walks, too!

I’m probably going to skip the November BarkBox, but I’m already planning on getting Hunter a new subscription for Christmas.
