Every once in a while, I find myself craving something that will mess up my healthy eating goals.  Carbs, pasta, and snacks are where I can totally fall off track.  But, damn, do they taste good!  Thankfully, I don’t have to give them up with Hungryroot’s guidance. There’s also a breakdown of everything we received in the box, including five different recipes to make.  We also got a Kitchen Companion that includes a fun, little playlist you can listen to on Spotify, some other info on how you can use the ingredients in your box, plus info on how you can recycle the packaging (thought that was kind of awesome).

I love that Hungryroot has partnered with so many great brands that I already love and purchase on the regular.  But there are also so many new brands to discover, as well!  Like those Unreal Dark Chocolate Almond Butter Cups.  I ate them the day our box arrived and went to Whole Foods the next day to grab more.  They were that good!

But what happens if you get something in your box that you weren’t too fond of?  Well, you can go into your food preferences and mark that you never want to see it in your deliveries again!  And if you’ve found something that you really, really like, you can make sure that it shows up in your deliveries again and again!


Thai Peanut Grain Bowl

You know what I really, really liked?  The Thai Peanut sauce that was used in this recipe!  I usually ditch the recipes and like to come up with my own ways to use the ingredients.  But this time around, I decided to try Hungryroot’s suggestions!  The first thing I made was a grain bowl.

First, I heated the Seven Veggie Stir-Fry in a skillet with a little olive oil.  The recipe called to add the Savory Spiced Tofu Bites next, but I wanted to save them for something else.  So I used the Braised Lemongrass Tofu Nuggets instead.

As that all cooked, I heated the Seven Grain Blend and spooned it into bowls.  Then, I topped the Seven Grain Blend with the stir fry and drizzled some Thai Peanut Sauce on top (I could eat that stuff with a spoon!).  Delicious and it took minutes to make!

All of the food and recipes have been unbelievably delicious!  It’s made keeping my healthy eating habits so easy!  If you need some inspiration to cook and eat healthier, this is a great way to start!  Hungryroot will help you customize a meal plan no matter what your goals are!
