Merry Christmas!

December 24, 2012

It’s been a fun start to Christmas!  I had a delicious Christmas exchange with my cousin Friday night at the Melting Pot, my husband and I had our walk in the woods on Saturday and we spent yesterday down the shore at my sister-in-law’s house.  I was the entertainment for my niece and nephew most of the day, but I didn’t mind one bit.  I love playing with the kids!  We had a big lunch, dessert and exchanged gifts. My sister-in-law got me a brown Coach logo wristlet.  I love it!  My sister-in-law and our niece and nephew loved their gifts, too.

We have a lot more celebrating to do this week.  Our quiet Christmas Eve at home will consist of rosemary lamb chops and rice with basil and peas for dinner, giving my husband a small gift (we decided to stop exchanging this year as we tend to buy for each other throughout the year anyway, but I couldn’t help but sneak him a little something–an ornament that reminded me of the old Ford truck he’s restoring) and watching the start of the A Christmas Story 24 hour marathon.  Christmas Day will be spent at my parents’ house.  We’re heading over around lunchtime and staying through dessert.  Over the weekend we’ll be back at my parents’ house for another Christmas exchange with family from out of state.  Soon enough we’ll be celebrating a new year!

So from my family to yours, have a very Merry Christmas!  Wishing you health and happiness this holiday season!
