These protein bites took no time at all to make!  So if you have a major hankering for chocolate or just need to hush that nagging sweet tooth, this recipe is one to try!

Start with honey, unsweetened cocoa powder, cinnamon, and vanilla in a saucepan.  Heat it over medium heat and stir until combined.  Remove it from the heat and stir in the almond butter and oatmeal.  When the mixture is cool enough to touch, start rolling it into balls.  Pop them in the fridge for a little while to cool and you’ve got yourself a sweet, chocolaty snack!

If you’re worried about the sugar in honey (because, yes, it’s still considered a form of sugar, just better for you), use an alternative like yacon syrup or liquid stevia. You may have to adjust the measurements, but you’ll still end up with a healthier chocolate treat!

Not only will these chocolate bites give you a nice dose of protein, they’ll give you a boost of energy, too!  They’re the perfect snack to get you through that dreaded afternoon slump!
