Season your holiday with the delicious flavor of Kikkoman® with this succulent Panko Crusted Soy Mustard Pork Loin recipe!

When you spend the holidays with my family, you’ll never go hungry!  I come from a big family and we bring a lot to the table during holiday gatherings.  While traditional dishes like turkey or spiral ham are usually served as the main dish, my family cooks up quite a feast to go along with it! Everyone seems to bring something to enjoy and, somehow, we all seem to go for seconds!

Mom might make a tray of stuffed shells, another meat option, and plenty of side dishes to choose from.  Some holidays, you’ll even find my father in the kitchen whipping up homemade pizzas!  And I can’t seem to go to a holiday gathering without making my famous Italian pasta salad!  Food makes the holidays brighter – and tastier – for us!

With the holiday season in full swing, I’ve been experimenting with different recipes and flavors to bring to our family gatherings.  A nice, roasted pork loin is always a great option for a holiday main dish.  Especially if you want to make something other than turkey or ham.  This recipe is also great if you’re having a small gathering with family for Christmas Eve or a luncheon on Christmas Day!

I recently make a Panko Crusted Soy Mustard Pork Loin that would make an excellent holiday dish!  A good marinade can really make a pork loin burst with flavor!  That’s why I used Kikkoman® Soy Sauce as a key ingredient in my marinade.  It helped balance out the flavors in the marinade and brought out the “umami” taste in this recipe.  It’s such a versatile ingredient that goes beyond Asian cuisine!

You could whip up the marinade and roast the pork loin just like that. Instead, I wanted to add a bit more flair to this dish, so I made a simple crust for the pork loin using Kikkoman® Panko Bread Crumbs

While my husband and I were having one of our weekend trips to Walmart, I stocked up on both of these Kikkoman® ingredients.  I fully intend to make this recipe again for one of our Christmas dinners!  It was delicious!

Panko Crusted Soy Mustard Pork Loin

Ingredients

    For the marinade
  • 1/3 cup Kikkoman® Soy Sauce
  • 1 tbsp. Dijon mustard
  • Small garlic clove, minced
  • 1 tsp. fresh rosemary
  • For the pork loin
  • 1 - 1 1/2 lb. pork tenderloin
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic and herb seasoning
  • 1 cup Kikkoman® Panko Bread Crumbs
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

    For the marinade
  1. In a small bowl, whisk together all of the ingredients.
  2. Trim most of the fat off of the pork loin and place into a freezer bag.
  3. Pour the marinade over the pork loin.
  4. Close the freezer bag and allow the pork loin to marinade for at least two hours.
  5. For the pork loin
  6. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  7. In a shallow dish, combine the Kikkoman® Panko Bread Crumbs and garlic and herb seasoning. Season with salt and pepper.
  8. Remove the pork loin from the marinade and roll it in the Kikkoman® Panko Bread Crumbs. Make sure it's completely coated.
  9. Then, place the pork loin in a roasting pan and cook pork for approximately an hour, or until cooked through.
  10. Serve with your favorite holiday side dishes!

The Kikkoman® Panko Bread Crumbs help lock in the juices, making the pork succulent with a nice, seasoned crunch. Kikkoman® Soy Sauce adds a great flavor to the pork and works perfectly with the rosemary, garlic, and Dijon mustard. I think when the Grinch was talking about “roast beast,” he was actually talking about this dish. Your family will definitely want to steal this recipe from you!

I absolutely LOVE Pork Loin, but I only know how to cook it one way. Thank you! This gives me another delicious way to cook it up for my family. I love the breading on the outside, that will really make it more fun to enjoy! #client

Yum! Growing up in a predominantly Japanese household we always used panko to bread things and I think it tastes best. I’ll have to give your recipe a try 😉

Panko has definitely replaced Italian bread crumbs in a lot of our cooking. It gives food a better crunch!

Try chopped parsley with mustard and planko on salmon. YUM.

I’ll take your word for it. I’m not a big fan of salmon. 🙁

We love soy sauce. We go through a ridiculous amount of it. My husband eats it on just about anything.

We seem to go through bottle after bottle, too! It’s a great sauce to keep on hand!

The low sodium soy sauce is usually what we have stocked in our fridge. I’m sure it’ll work just as well in this recipe!
