Prepare for Spring with this Fruity Beer Cocktail!

We’re just a few weeks away from the return of spring and there are an abundance of reasons to be excited! As much as I love the winter and appreciate the lack of heat and humidity (a fixture of New Jersey summers), I’m looking forward to spending a lot more time outdoors. I miss being out in our garden, hanging outside on our deck, or dining al fresco at my favorite local restaurants.

The return of warmer weather also means grilling season is back and so are the icy, adult beverages that go along with it! I love a cold beer or a fruity margarita while we’re hanging outside together. If you can’t decide between these two adult beverages, you can always mix up a Raspberry Beergarita!

Beer + Margarita = Dreams Do Come True!

Have you been dreaming of sipping on a margarita or an ice cold beer someplace warm this winter? This cocktail is made with fresh margarita ingredients and raspberry flavored beer so you won’t have to choose between these two adult beverages!

If you can find Raspberry Beret Ellicottville Brewing Company Sour Ale, I highly recommend it. It’s more sour than sweet and has a great raspberry flavor. If you can’t find that sour ale, here are some other great popular raspberry beers: Purple Haze by Abita, Raspberry Ale by Dark Horse Brewing Co., Brainless Raspberry by Epic Brewing Co., Raspberry Wheat by Shock Top, and Raspberry Sour Crush by 10 Barrel.

This cocktail is also made with classic margarita ingredients like lime juice and tequila (use your favorite). I boosted the fruity flavor with fresh raspberries and blended all the ingredients up with ice. Once the drink is smooth and ready to go, pour it into pub glasses, salt the rim, and garnish with lime wedges for a spring cocktail that will satisfy beer and raspberry margarita lovers!

Home Chef Tip: Prefer your margaritas on the rocks? Blend all the ingredients together and pour the drink over crushed ice instead.
