Enjoy spooky snacking when you serve this Spiderweb Avocado Hummus Dip at your next Halloween party! This healthy Halloween recipe is made like traditional hummus, but with avocado, a plain Greek yogurt spiderweb, creepy black olive spiders, and pico de gallo!
Halloween is such a great time of year to have fun and “play” with your food. It’s also a very tempting time of year with all of that delicious Halloween candy floating around (I’m looking at you, Twix bars and Twizzlers). But you can still enjoy the best of the season and fun, Halloween food while staying on track.
I love taking the average dish and giving it an element of creepiness during Halloween. Since I’ve been on a bit of a hummus kick lately, I decided to make a spooky hummus dip that would be perfect for Halloween parties, after school snacking, or just because!
This Spiderweb Avocado Hummus Dip starts like traditional hummus with chickpeas, tahini, lemon juice, garlic, and olive oil. Then, I blended in spices and an avocado to give it extra creaminess and an awesome green color! I finished the hummus off with a Greek yogurt spiderweb design and cut black olives into spiders. For one last flavorful touch, I added pico de gallo around the edge and served this dip with a tortilla chip mix.
It’s a spooky good dip and you can get the recipe for it today on SoFabFood!
