It’s fun to have nieces who are still young enough to appreciate the magic of the Easter bunny, the surprise of a filled basket on Easter morning, and the adventure of an Easter egg hunt. But instead of filling them with even more candy and toys they’ll play with once, I love to share activities and experiences with them.
My nieces love to help in the kitchen, or enjoy the simplicity of running around outside. And just like their Aunt Jess, they’re into arts and crafts. So I’ll never say “no” to sitting down, opening a coloring book, and creating a colorful masterpiece with crayons and colored pencils.
With that in mind, I decided to create an Easter printable to send to them to show them that they’re “eggs-tra” special to me and that Aunt Jess is thinking about them!

This printable coloring page is an adorable, candy alternative for kids’ Easter baskets. The printable is simple enough for kids of all ages to color. I left the eggs completely blank so they could color and decorate them with their own designs. The flowers and hearts add a playful, springtime feel to the print. And you can’t have an Easter coloring page without some rabbit ears!
Print a few copies of this coloring page, roll them up, tie them with some pretty ribbon and add them to an Easter basket along with some crayons, colored pencils, and a new coloring book or two! If a few little chocolate bunnies sneak their way into the basket, that’s okay, too!
